My Artwork is a reflection of my Papua New Guinea Heritage. I was interested in the Traditional Tattooing and mark-making on the body. Women were once tattooed from as young as six years old. These magnificent body decorations are tattooed in different styles, shapes and sizes according to the traditional beliefs and rituals. I applied the tattoo designs onto my legs and dressed in traditional costume for this image.
