Postcards is a collection of self-addressed postcards of family snapshots sent from New Zealand to Australia.
Immigrating to Australia brought about experiences of transit and change; parting from my whanau (family), the previously “communal” way of life was transformed through adaptation into individualisation. My adaptation to my new environment I call home was built on the foundations of what I carry from New Zealand.
