Paul Nabulumo Namarinjmak started to paint and carve in the late 1990s under the guidance of his father, acclaimed artist Mick Kubarkku. He participated in his first exhibition in 2000 at the Aboriginal & Pacific Art Gallery in Sydney. Since 2003, he has been exhibiting regularly his paintings and sculptures in Australia and overseas (London). His main subject matters are: Ngalyod –the rainbow serpent-, Namarrkon –lightning spirit-, Dird –moon dreaming-, yawkyawk –freshwater female spirit- and Namorrorddo. He is currently teaching his wife Yvette Namunjdja to paint. His work is represented in the Museum of Victoria Collections.
