This project is dedicated to a great teacher Wally
Nickels (deseased). Mr Nickels has trained 3
generations of Indigenous & non-Indigenous martial
arts students in the Northern Territory, Australia.
The Martial Arts styles taught included Chinese Boxing & Filipino Stick Fighting (Arnis).
Students were disciplined with hard training, very
intense and physically demanding. We were taught the
philosophy in fighting and also looked at ways that
martial arts could also be applied & combined with our
own lives. We learned many amazing things that kept
us awe inspired and passionate about Martial Arts.
The Martial Arts & Multimedia project was based on
documenting fighting & training techniques and this was a
tribute to say thank you to great teacher who helped
show us some great fighting techniques & a better way
in life. |
